Three new books added to our reading pile over the last few weeks – all series titles.
Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley
Lisa Hartley is the bestselling author of the Detective Sergeant Catherine Bishop Series. This is the first book in her new Detective Caelan Small Series.
After an operation goes badly wrong, undercover specialist Detective Caelan Small leaves the Metropolitan Police for good. Or so she thinks. Then the criminal responsible is seen back in the UK. And Fire Came Down by Emma Viskic
To say I was excited when this hotly anticipated title, Book 2 in the Caleb Zelic Thriller Series arrived in the mail was an understatement.
Emma Viskic’s first title, Resurrection Bay, was one of my favourite books of 2015 and it went on to win lots of awards here in Australia incl. the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction. It is a thriller of substance – a must read. AND I’m delighted to report that Pushkin Vertigo think so too, recently announcing upcoming UK and US release dates.
Unsurprisingly And Fire Came Down is already getting rave reviews pre-release, and it is next up on my reading pile!

Betrayal at Iga by Susan Spann
I have a soft spot for Susan Spann’s Hiro Hattori Novels (Shinobi Mysteries). After enjoying The Blade of the Samurai (Book 2), hosting a very interesting post from the author about Goshikimai: the Ninjas’ Coded Rice for Book 3’s release and being entertained by The Ninja’s Daughter (Book 4), I was delighted to receive a copy of Betrayal at Iga (Book 5).
