Two new titles this week.
What better use for (part of) an Amazon gift voucher than one of the September 2015 book releases that caught my eye — a re-release of a title the new Pushkin crime imprint, Pushkin Vertigo, believes is a ‘tours-de-force work’ by an ‘international master of the genre’. Apparently Shimada, a pioneer of the Shinhonhaku ‘logic mystery’ genre, is known in Japan as the ‘God of Mystery’. The Tokyo Zodiac Murders was his debut novel.

Adrian McKinty’s In The Morning I’ll Be Gone (narrated by Gerard Doyle) was one of my best books of 2015, so I cannot wait to listen to this title, the next in his The Troubles Series featuring Detective Sean Duffy.
