Two talented Aussie authors this week – one who’s just starting out and the other an international bestseller.
I jumped at the chance to read Claire Varley’s debut novel The Bit in Between ( 1 August 2015 release).
After an unfortunate incident in an airport lounge involving an immovable customs officer, a full jar of sun-dried tomatoes, quite a lot of vomit, and the capricious hand of fate, Oliver meets Alison. In spite of this less than romantic start, Oliver falls in love with her.
Thanks to Pan Macmillan Australia I will also be interviewing Claire and hosting a giveaway of this title – review coming very soon, interview and giveaway mid August.
I am a huge fan of Kate Forsyth’s work, transforming the stories behind fairytales into adult fiction (my reviews of Bitter Greens and The Wild Girl ) so her upcoming novel The Beast’s Garden has been on my wishlist for months. It will be released in Australia on 3 August 2015.
Ava fell in love the night the Nazis first showed their true nature to the world …’
A retelling of the Grimms’ Beauty and The Beast, set in Nazi Germany.
Thanks to Random House Australia and the lovely Kate, I will be publishing my review and interview about The Beast’s Garden mid August.Mailbox Monday website.
