Here are the titles that I welcomed into my home this week:
The Curse of the Lonesome Mariner is the latest release from Mark Green, the author of The Travel Auction.
Harry Straight doesn’t want any complications in his life. Recently divorced, he’s about to set sail on a small boat along England’s south coast in order to reconcile with his estranged father. The last thing Harry needs is the responsibility of a mischievous and unpredictable beer-drinking dog called Lacey.
But when Harry’s canine crew-mate discovers he’s only ever been with one woman, the fun loving terrier takes it upon himself to educate Harry in the livelier side of life, leading him from one inappropriate liaison to the next… with disastrous consequences.
Mark has a very accessible and entertaining writing style, and a story involving a canine friend – how could I resist!
Available for download (in 3 parts) from: Amazon | Smashwords
I actually picked these ebooks up for FREE in a post Christmas promotion by Harper Collins Australia.
The Ice Princess by Camilla Lackberg (Patrick Hedstrom and Erica Falck, Book 1) [Book Details]
The Intern by Gabrielle Tozer [Book Details]
Cairo by Chris Womersley (audiobook)
At 18, Tom escapes ordinariness in small town Australia for Melbourne and a flat in a strange block named Cairo. There he meets the magnetic Max Cheever, and is drawn into his circle of bohemian artists and dreamers. But soon Tom is ensnared in a plot to steal a million dollar Picasso masterpiece, among undependable forgers and violent art dealers.
I’ve had this title on my wishlist for some time now and decided to use one of my Audible.com.au credits. It will be the first audio book I listen to on my work commute when I return in the new year and will count towards the Aussie Author Challenge.
