I come across so many wonderful books in my online travels – far too many to ever read them all. So I have decided to share the titles I add each week to my unrealistically ambitious wishlist.
If you share literary tastes similar to mine, the books that caught my attention this week might interest you too.

I came across a review of this title on Shelf Awareness and the premise appealed to me. I really enjoy it when real historical facts are woven together by authors in a compelling package and I have always been intrigued by Charles Darwin’s exploits. It brought to mind another book I recently read, The Discovery of Jeanne Baret by Glynis Ridley, a story about the first woman to circumnavigate the globe.
“Beautifully written and compelling… These mavericks and heretics put their lives on the line. Finally, they are getting the credit they deserve.”
—The Independent on Sunday (UK)
This title is a belated addition to my wishlist. I have read countless glowing reviews (too many to mention) and now that Anna Funder has taken out the Miles Franklin Award with All That I Am, there is simply no excuse for it not to be on there!
Refresh your memory of who was long-listed for the Miles Franklin this year.
